The Penvale homes were built for holiday and leisure purposes, forming a development of 12 Houses and a Reception centre. The project consisted of a 1st phase of the Ontario and Saltspring types, plus the Reception. The later phase included another type called ‘The Birches’ – a four bedroom home.

All were finished using Western Red Cedar cladding timber (Grade ‘STK’) fixed in the vertical format, with the roof finishes using a fibreglass reinforced Asphalt shingle tile.

The Ontario was built as a 2 Bedroom lodge, while the Saltspring consisted of 3 double Bedrooms plus open plan Living-Dining-Kitchen.

The development also featured large Cedar deck areas, which looked over the stream and numerous ponds flowing down the length of the development, making it an extremely sheltered, peaceful and tranquil setting.

Hoseasons retain some of these properties to let, so why not visit for a break yourself, but you have to be quick, as they prove a very popular destination.
