All our specifications include insulation levels substantially ahead of the statutory requirements; high levels of airtightness; Western Red Cedar cladding as standard, and minimal maintenance external windows and doors. We could use much cheaper materials; components and designs, but that would be totally against the policy we have chosen to follow.
The ESTUARY Range offers home packages to a very high standard though it is our base level specification. The homes have Vaulted Ceilings to parts of the home, and 2.40m ceiling heights elsewhere. They also incorporate as standard a Wall Construction with a ‘u’ value of 0.14 W/m²K …currently 36% above the Scottish regulations and 50% above those of England & Wales.

A MOUNTAIN Range home package provides a home with low running costs, and high comfort factor. The homes will generally have more extensive Vaulted Ceiling areas, and additional feature structural beams on view. Wall performance is improved at a ‘u’ value of 0.12 W/m²K, with improved ‘u’ values to the windows too. In two storey homes, we also include metal web floor joists, providing high technical and acoustic performance, and allowing ease of installation of heating; ventilation and plumbing services.

The SUMMIT Specification will generally be reserved for our client Custom homes, where they wish to achieve the highest of performances including ZERO or NEGATIVE CARBON designs. With a wall performance of 0.10 W/m²K ‘u’ value, and complimented by TRIPLE Glazed windows with extremely high level 0.70 ‘u’ value, these are at the highest standards currently in the industry.
